Up That Green Hill.

Hahaha the glory of Green Hill Corner. Beef Noodles. Yum. Yum. Yum.
Theres two reasons why people frequent Green Hill Corner. Reason No.1 The Beef Noodles.
Reason No.2 The Char Kueh. Well that's what I've rationalize so far. And I'm pretty confident that my verdict is anything but amiss. Just look at the char kueh! I've been eating their char kueh for years and years and it has always been THAT good! * THAT refers to YOU going there and trying it yourself!

I'm baffled at my recent penchant for the renown cocoa drink Malaysians are ever so familiar with. I'm been taking a lot of Milo lately. Hmmmmm....

Wednesday

Chef At Home.

I had chicken chop and Bie had lamb. The coleslaw's not bad. I don't like fries. But I'm loving the mushroom sauce.
Mushroom soup which comes with a piece of garlic bread. Nice but it would've been nicer if there they added cheddar or cream or something.
I finally got to try 175 Cafe. I shall applaud their creative concept. I'm glad to say that they use Dilmah for their Earl Grey. If you don't understand what I'm trying to say, nevermind. Just ignore it. Oh ya, the picture is Bie's chocolate mint. It tastes a bit like cough syrup to me. *Shudders.
NK Chicken pizza. Its a great fun eat.
I swear I did NOT touch the butter. AT ALL.
I've heard that NK Food Network at Kereta Api serves scones that will give you alot to talk about. I tried their blueberry scones and it was niceeeee. Just nice. But please get a drink to go with the scones ya? It can be a bit too dry.
I stole his broccoli. I would say this is a pleasant dish. Nothing out of the ordinary. Shoulda have ordered a second round of mussles instead! The next time to Mr Ho's I'm going back for roasted pork :p
As you can see, Bie 'bathed' his chicken in the sauce for the mussles. I swaped mains with him cause I thought the pasta he ordered looks sad. The chicken should be more filling for a growing boy's appetite ;p Gotta love the fried potatoes!

I had dessert before the mains. Haha. I couldn't wait. Though I'm not an avid fan of Haagen Dazs, it was on sale at Mr Ho's so why not? No reason to NOT have ice cream especially if it comes in the sinful flavour of CHOCOLATE :D BELGIAN chocolate might I add.
I am still crazy for Mr Ho's mussles! Simply delicious! The sauce is ambrosia. Given the chance I will drown everything I eat in the sauce.

Friday

My heart when thump thump thump the minute I saw you.

Black And Gold Goes.

I am berry happy.

Tuesday

What about Us?

Its been more than 2 years. But it feels like I've loved you my whole life. I love how you can make my every single pain, every fragment of agony hurt less. I love how you'd hold me close and remind me where I truly belong when I go too far. I love how you are never afraid to tell me the truth. I love how I can just close my eyes and not worry about a single thing in this world simply because I'm with you. I love it.

We've held hands along the way. We've went through every single thing that came our way. And yet you've never given up. You've always been the same. The boy in black. That's your name :)

Bie. Stay with me for the rest of your life. I can't promise you most of everything the world offers. But I can promise you my whole heart. Wait and see. You'll realize that fate is a funny thing. Because you know what? Fate told me We'll always be :)

I love you bie. So much.
:)

Starlight Starbright.

Stars when they shine, do you know how it feels?

Well, I’m feeling good.

Wednesday

Cat Food.

Leftovers heh :p

Bie's beef noodles in soup. I like the soup. Jampacked with all sorts of ingredients. There is alot going on in the bowl.

My fried rice. Very filling. Nothing very special about it but I guess the simplicity of this dish is what makes it special huh?In an ironic sense. Anyways I doubt anyone would be willing to pay RM9.90 for a plate of fried rice?

Their potato wedges tastes like no other potato wedges I've ever tried. Slightly strong taste of pepper but not overbearing. Its just nice.
Very fresh mango juice.
I know the James Brooke Cafe wouldn't be the first place to spring into the minds of Kuchingnites when we're thinking of a place to dine at. Well. I tried it :) We were the only chinese among all the ang mos. The ang mos sure do like the place. My guess is the strategic (I thought I'd never use that word) location, just along the waterfront.
Leen was busy the whole night through sawing through this piece of meat. I forgot the name of the dish. My bad :p
My pork chop with a bratwurst. That's the sausage.
Mr Ho's mussels in their special cream sauce is GOOD. SO SO GOOD. Couldn't get enough of the sauce.

Another trip to Mr Ho's with Leen and Ster. Had a great time hanging out with two of my favourite girls. Ster had walnut salad. Am loving the walnuts but not the vege.

My cordon bleu chicken. Couldn't really taste the cheese. But it was nice all in all.
I love their mushroom soup. I strongly recommend it.

They are extremely generous with their milo powder so their milo actually tastes like milo.
Chef at Home is one of my favourites to go for western dishes.
I had this in a restuarant around Pertanak. It's called Yi Jia Ren which means Family. Main point. The marmite chicken was good.
Yam, Chocolate, and strawberry. Did you see the chocolate chips on the cookie?? @_@
Ok now this is funny. After half a day on the beach I didn't realise I was burning. I was so red I looked exactly like one of the dancing lobsters from The Amanda Show that aired ages ago on Nickelodeon. I made a big fuss about bla bla bla I was sunburnt ok?It is a big deal because it was THAT bad. Honest. So bie let me have ice cream to make me feel better about how red I was. The ice cream was a wonderful :) I had their banana split sundae! Wooohoooo! It made me feel good for about 15minutes until I took out my compact mirror and realise how red I actually was. I was all ready for Chinese New Year.

My club sandwiches. Plain and simple. That's all I can say.
Da's Famous Damai Burger. The patty is HUGE. Beware. You cannot eat this while looking civilized. It's not possible. Get ready to get messy. Oh ya. The burger itself tastes just ok. Nothing to rave about. Just the size. *Drop eyeballs*
Bie's subway.

OK so had lunch at Cafe Satang way up at Damai when we brought Van there. We were starving. And the food sure took a long time. Somemore we were only ones in the cafe. Expect the food to be pricey. Hotel cafe rates. Predictable.

Bing's carrot cake. We have been to Bing's 3 times in the week Van was here. I always have their chocolate brownie so for a change I had their carrot cake. I remember Ster telling me it was good. Like a long time ago. So I thought to myself you know, why not? It's ok la. If your big fan of cinnamon this is your dream cake.
Yas and bie both had the same dish. Fettucine in carbonara sauce. Yas didn't really like it I guess. And it was sure as hell obvious that bie didn't like it. They asked for extra cheese which I am guessing it tastes bland?I don't know I didn't try it. I was too preoccupied with my thoughts mainly thinking to myself "RM32 for mi sedap??!" *Sulks. No complains from Van though. Lol.
Van's penne with aubergine. I liked this better than my dish. Plus factor it has peas :)
Ah. My angel hair pasta with prawns. I ignored the fish & chips on the menu and ordered this instead. Quiet disappointing. In my own opinion. The pasta tasted like mi sedap. Seriously. I could have just bought prawns and have it with mi sedap for less than RM32. But hey we'll look at the bright side. The prawns were HUGE.

Bruschetta as a starter. Take heed. It was sour. Really sour. I think its because of the cheery tomatoes. But if you can stand tangy foods, you might want to try this.

My original plan was to take Van to Hui Hsin for satays and tomato mee. But unfortunately it was closed. It had to be that night :x Grrrrr. So my back up plan eventually lead us to The Junk. Its has been ages since I was last there. I love their fish & chips but after that night I doubt I will be going back anytime soon though. . . .
RM2.50 for a cone? That's as good as it gets man :)
Theres no Baskin Robbins here in Kuching but we do have Sunny Hill and I am damn proud of it :)
You want a slice?
Haha I also promised Van we'll let her try O Cien. Or rather oyster omelette. Topspot's O Cien is like the Godzilla of all O Ciens I've ever tried. So far.
Prawns steamed with ginger and sauce. Simple yet it brings out the sweetness and freshness of the prawns. The way I like it.
Fried calamari rings. Great finger food.
I have no idea what these are called in english. But in hokkien we call it "tek tang". I love it especially with curry powder. Yums.
Bilin with belacan. Famous dish. Must try, must order, must eat and must finish. Also remember- must pay ya :p
I promised Van to bring her out for seafood when she's here. And so that's exactly what we did. Here's a picture of van's erm coconut :p
We sat down and had rojak. I remember having rojak with my family over at Waterfront all the time when I was a toddler. *Aaah. Memories.
Banana fritters we bought from a stall along waterfront. Sad small little battered bananas. I'm not a fan. But I like this picture, so yeah :)
But their ABC sure compensates for their laksa. Extremely refreshing on a hot afternoon.
We also tried their laksa. Their laksa isn't as good as their belacan mi hun I must say.

On the other side of town. Just next to the Sarawak museum, well hidden is Summerhouse. I don't know if that's the actual name. Find out for me ya. Rumour has it that they serve the best belacan mi hun and ABC. Well. I AGREE. The place has been around since once upon a time and their belacan mi hun is so good simply because its's not throat chokingly spicy but just nice. I like :)
Green Road's kolo mee is the best kolo mee in the world you hear that?
I put alot of these into my bowl of kolo mee all the time. Gives the kolo mee that extra punch.
I love Da's nails :) Red. Hmmm. Viciously sexy. *Growls.

Mr Ho's Fine Foods is the expert when it comes to roasted pork. Van and I tried their roasted pork knuckles cause their roasted pork were all out. SEE!Told you they were good. Van has been cooing about it ever since. Thumbs and toes up to their applesauce. Goes well with the pork.

Cafe Cino's ice blended oreo.
I love Cafe Cino at Hilton. One word. Ambience.

Haha. Pad Thai people! You've got to have pad thai when your dining at a restaurant that serves thai cuisine. Those of you who don't know what this is, its fried thai glass noodles with bean sprouts, spring onions, peanuts, bean curd, together with a mean thai sauce and prawns :)
Mango Tree's pandan chicken. Bie thought it was good. I thought the ginger taste was a bit too strong.
They ran out of Earl Grey tea so I setteled for breakfast tea instaed. A bit odd to have that for dinner. But what the heck. Life is ironic at times :p

Their potstickers is yummy.
Spring Onion omelette. I think I've had better ones.
Bie always has this when we're at Jade Pot. I always tease him because the drink is pink :)
