Wednesday

The Salmon Teriyaki Zen Beto, RM30. I see no Teriyaki but that's the name of it on the bill. Go figure. Oh, this is completely irrevelant, but I think chawanmushi is just disgusting. There are many ways to have eggs, but just not when it's steamed in a tea cup like container with mushrooms or radishes, the likes.
My dinner at Rakutei and this was what I had- Yaki Soba for RM15. It would have tasted really good if that damn flubug would have left me alone. It's ok to share this though and theres heaps of cabbage in it. Which is good right? :)

Tuesday

A Bowl Of Wisdom.

Behold the beauty of this bowl of yummy broth, succulent prawns and chicken with a handful of bean sprouts, served hot. Enough said. Hell, I won't even mind if I had to stand up and eat. ( Consider yourself very lucky if you can get yourself a table when you reach Choon Hui around 9ish to 10 )
The place serves Milo and coffee in ala old school style.
I'm not a big fan of popiahs but for this I'll make an exception :)
Despite of the incessant agony my protruding wisdom teeth have inflicted upon me for the past week, my taste buds were aching for laksa. So off to Choon Hui Cafe at Ban Hock road right next to Grand Continental Hotel for the best laksa you can find in Kuching. I don't think I need to say more. The name Choon Hui speaks for itself. I don't think the pictures are good enough to justify just how tasty the laksa is. On a side note, Choon Hui's also well known for their Roti Kiap, and Popiah. I'm definitely taking Van to Choon Hui when she gets here. Well, we'll deifinitely have to go very very very early and the car would definitely be miles away, but I dare say it's worth it.

Take a good look at this Vannie :)

Friday

Craving.

This should keep me happy and contented for several days or so :)

Monday

Don't Rain On My Parade.

It's going to be the most gruesome day of the week tomorrow. That's right. Monday. Yours truly will survive and so will you :)
Have a great week ahead!

Saturday

Nobody Nobody But You.

Koreana's _______ . RM20. I forgot the name of this, but on the plus side I know its noodles, with beef slices and vegetables. Sorry if that doesn't help much, but hey ho nothing else looks like this on the menu :) The noodles were chewy, reminds me of tang hoon. Very stubborn tang hoon. Heh.

Koreana's Bi Bim Bup. RM20. Huge ass portion. Do not even attempt finishing this on your own if you're a lass/lad with a wee apetite. I think everyone orders this when they dine at Koreana no? Try something out of the box instead, like their cold noodles in soup. Cross my heart, this isn't a joke.
If I could I would sing "Nobody, nobody but YOU" to kimchi anytime.
Banchan, unbeknownst to those, it means side dishes. I was hoping there would be seaweed, much to my disappointment. Side dishes are refillable by the way so go ahead and have a second round :)
It has been aeons since my last visit to Koreana. I presume the majority has been to Koreana, but what the heck I'll just go ahead with this post anywho :) The boyfriend who isn't exactly a fan of korean cuisine finally relented. Heh.

Thursday

I Ate A Bag.

Guess what? My favourite- Choco banana :) Boo you if you don't like that >p
It looked so real. We took ages to admire it and we hesitated forever before cutting it. Isn't it pretty?? :)
Just when Sharon and I were about to leave, the waiter came up holding this Juicy Couture bag and when we realized it was our surprise birthday cake we were ecstatic :) I has gweat fewns :)
Fish and Chips. This is RM20. I remember this cause its the only dish that's a main that doesn't end with the number 8. Heh.

Lemongrass chicken. I thought this was way better than the fish and chips, eventhough its not mine. Bebe was kind enough to let me try :)

Salmon Steak. Poor Sky. His never came. Shame on the service at Junk.
Mango milkshake if I'm not wrong.
Unrelated food pic- Tiong's Coach Poppy wristlet.
Dinner at the Junk with the gang. Imma let them identify themselves on their own. I'm not a fan of the Junk I must say and we were suppose to go to Jambu initially, but the staff over at Jambu were all over at Rainfest. ( If you're reading this and you're not Sarawakian just go and google Rainfest if you're curious enough ) Anywho, if you're planning to go dine at Junk make sure you've got great company because that makes a ton of difference :)

Monday

Another Jambu.

The sauce looks a bit like paint doesn't it? But surprisingly cheeseballs and strawberry sauce do go hand in hand. It doesn't taste half bad. I've also realized theres pate on the menu as well. I'll be back soon for escargots and pate, I hope :)
Now I couldn't resist myself when I saw this on the menu. Cheeseballs with strawberry sauce. Isn't it odd? Deep fried breaded cheeseballs with strawberry sauce. This comes at RM10 and you'd better share this cause it gets a bit sickening if you finish this off at a go. I'm presuming its mozzarella. Stale mozzarella. The cheese wasn't rich enough. What a bummer.

Ooooh and the beef nachos............This was delish. RM20 and you can share this now cause it doesn't come in a small portion.
Strawberry milkshake.
Fruit punch.

Went to Jambu last night with the girls to have some after dinner snacks indirectly which means supper :) There was a function going on I'm not sure but we had to sit somewhere by the corner.

Thursday

Testify.

Goodbyes are never easy. When you let go of someone you love, when you let go of your dreams, you inevitably loose a part of yourself. What comes next are the regrets, what you could have done or should have done. Those confounded what ifs. But if you look beyond all of that, you know that the only solace you'll be able to find is from God. I'm not preaching, I'm just here to testify. His grace is true and its more than enough. I've been through my fair share of pain but God pulled me through and He'll do the same for everyone else.

Deutronomy 31:8 He will never leave you nor forsake you, do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Love and Pasta.

Woke up late as usual and the only thing I can think of are the report cards I've yet to complete. Report cards will always be a pain in the ass. I'm cracking my cranium for words I can use in the remarks and my mum calls and says its time for lunch. ( Yes, I woke up that late:p )

And I see a plate of pasta, the fork and spoon even napkins. Sometimes, I forget how amazing my mum is. Most of the time, I take her for granted. All the time, I've not realized that my life has always been blessed because of her.

I know we argue and disagree at times but I'm glad, so very glad that you've got such a big heart to put up with all the shit I do. I love you when you wake me up in the mornings for. I love you when you make such a big fuss over me whenever I'm sick. I love you when you always know that I'm not ok even if I tell you I'm fine. I love you mummy. I love you for everything. For you. You're beautiful mummy and you'll always be that way in my heart. Thank you for your love, your whole heart and the pasta :)
