Sunday

Treats.

Delirious with joy after my ice cream from BR. I tried their Banana Strawberry. I also love their Tea & Scones, Mango Sherbet and Candy Floss:)
I settled with their Original Glazed doughnut. Simple but yet so tasty.
A montage of various doughnuts from Krispy Kremes :)
Went to Midvalley yesterday with my mum. She'll be going back tomorrow:'(
Sigh...Had teh tarik at Steven's Garden accompanied by Amy Tan's " Saving Drowning Fish".

Saturday

Quality Time.

Went and had dinner at Zhia's Kitchen. Horray Chinese cuisine!Lol. Had vege fried rice. I actually pictured it with broccoli and baby corns, button mushrooms. I wasn't surprise when it's just fried rice mix with the peas, corns and carrot cubes and shredded lettuce. Lol. Typical chinese food. But I simply love :)
I love love love this - Chinese Chicken Herbal Soup.

Spent time with my mum last night. Got a pair of capris from Esprit. I know I know. In a previous post I recalled saying I hated Esprit right? But they had the only nice pair of capris. It was 199.90 tho:x I don't know why they tend to do that. Just for the sake of the illusion that it might look cheaper. Lol. The customer would be paying at the counter, contented with his or her purchase. Than when he or she gets his or her change after paying they'd be shocked to see only a 10 cent coin with their reciept. Boy, I'd like to see that happen :)

Thursday

Baaaa...Where's my kidney?

Ta-dah!The interior of the kidney! You can see the cortex and medulla. And the renal pyramid.
Elaine and me in our lab coats and gloves. Jo said we look like ghost maidens.
The superior renal capsule of the goat's kidney. The beigish orange deposit by the side are solid lipids. They are hard to the touch. Not oily as pressumed due to refrigeration I suppose.
Had Biology Practical on Monday. I thought it was going to be something mundane yet again like determining surface areas or investigating photosynthesis rates. Surprise surprise. We were going to dissect goat kidneys instead!Hahaha I am laughing because most of everyone were complaining about how pungent the smell of blood was. I however was completely oblivious to the smell because of a flu :)

Sunday

****!

*WARNING! MAY INCLUDE A NUMBER OF VULGARITIES. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REACTIONS OR UPROAR THIS POST MAY CAUSE.SO, STOP READING IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. SIMPLE AS THAT.

Woke up this morning with a clogged nose and a sore throat. Recuperating from the bad day I had yesterday. This year has been ample with bad days. Nothing but. The sole reason as to why I'm in KL now is because Taylor's is here. Taylor's is the best pre uni centre in the whole of Malaysia.I don't think I should deny myself the right of an education. You say why not choose to go directly to Australia for my Year 12 instead of doing SAM?I say why not we share your education fund?No point getting a loan my nightmare would be me getting stuck here for the rest of my life. What's that?Scholarships?Hahaha. I'm not even going to start on that. Thus, I'm here. I'll have to admit I was thrilled at the prospect of living here in KL at first.Experiencing life at a whole new prespective. The usual cliche of being stronger and more independent. And it's KL. Think Pavillion. Think Marks and Spencers. Looking back, I'm laughing at my own foolishness. I won't deny that I've grown and I've changed neither in a good nor a bad way. I'm still me but I'm different. That's the irony. Don't be fooled by the superficial life KL offers.

Kuchingnites frequent KL so very often and all they experience is the 5 star comfort of hotels at Bukit Bintang. What else? When you actually live here it's madness I tell you. To top it all up people here in KL always think that we Sarawakians are uncivilised and are still lost in the wild hunting boars and playing with monkeys. They don't know that their the real idiots. I'm thinking of giving all of you the benefit of the doubt so I'd love to do a reality tv show on my life back in Kuching and show all these fuckers my wonderful treehouse and the proper way of cracking coconuts and let you all see how awesome Kuching is. And if custom grants me the permission, I'll bring my pet orang utan to KL for show and tell in college. Oh wait....How do I get the TV crew all the way over to Kuching hor? They'd have to swim and trek through the jungles with me since Kuching is airportless :) Funs. We'll definitely take lots of pictures of pitcher plants and Rafflesias. Yippie!

Kiss my ass. What happened to Air Asia's Everyone Can Fly?Go to www.airasia.com and check for flights to Kuching. If theres no airport in Kuching why do they still offer flights there? You people are the smart ones right?Well...Not so smart now huh?Pathetic people too caught up in their Armanis and CKs. Wtf. Ok la. NOT everyone from KL is a dumbass bimbo. I've met very nice people here too. My class (Jo, Angel, Laine, Chua, Sarah, Ben etc you know who you are) and my lecturers are a great example and also Chloe and Tiong Seng. People that I know or call my friends. Their an exception. If everyone here were biatches and bastards my life would be fucking miserable. Ok ok...I won't be so judgemental and condemn all of you for being mean and evil. Some of you are can? I've had my fair share of bad luck when it comes to encountering some really rude arses here. A few sales assistant a handful of taxi drivers and two or more strangers. I don't mean all of you. That would be unreasonable. So don't go being so sensitive about it.

Just because KL is the capital of Malaysia doesn't mean y'all have the rights to go around with your asses up in the air. Honey...Your still in Malaysia. Malaysia's still a third world country. So don't flatter yourself. I'll trade KL for Singapore or even better New York ANYTIME. Oh ya. Just out of curiosity, why do people here just glare at you when you accidentally walk or bump into them even when you've apologized? It's like some sort of unknown taboo or custom. It's perplexing to me and I just don't geddit. I'll save the rest of my rantings for next time.

Saturday

Neck Cramp.

A contented me after my english presentation.Chua, Ee Lin, Ben and Renu were great:) Finally got a chance to wear my Zara top for the presentation. Haha I see you see the apple green pails. First thing I bought when I came here to Subang from Jusco. LOL.I do not wish to be reminded about my bio presentation AT ALL. 4 minutes and 8 seconds was all it took.
Jo's plate of Wisdom. Went to Little Taiwan with Laine,Gel and Jo.
* A late post.

Tuesday

Farewell.

Georgie's back in Kuching. After subjecting herself to two years of torture she's finally free from this hellhole. The day before she left we both went to Snowflake for her Last Dessert in Subang. I doubt she'll be coming back here anytime soon. Haha. Ok ok. I still don't get it why people make such a big hoo-ha about the place. It sells...well...Taiwanese desserts. The only two things I love that comes from Taiwan is Jay and taiwanese sausages. Other than that I shall remain apathetic about the rest of what comes from that country. But...But...Their tou-hua with taroballs which I had was surprisingly good :) * I went back the next day again :) I actually went there like two weeks after I was at Subang with Da and Yas. I had their soybean milk with yew char kueh than. Goodness gracious. Their yew char kueh smelt like ammonia ok. That was than la. Maybe that particular day they had a bit of a problem with the oil. I'll make an exception lo.By all means I'm definitely not having that again. I like taroballs better :) Georgie if your reading this I just want to say that I think what made Subang and living here and being away from home so much more better and easier is because I have you as my friend. I'll always cherish all the laughs and fun we've had together as housemates and fellow Kuchingnites. Remember Bing. Remember Foh Foh. Remember Andrea ( Hi Andrea!) Remember Shasha and Harry. Remember Asia Cafe and how it feels like to watch a movie in TGV and also Bubba Gump. Remember 7-11 and Uncle Seng...last but not least - Me :) Hahahaha your worst nightmare.Take care of yourself say hi to Pius for me and take good care of yourself. Will tell you soon if I can find Romeo ok:p? Love ya!
Georgina : In deep thought.
My tou-hua with taro balls. I had mine HOT. It tastes better that way. *I listened bie :)
Georgina's dessert. With grass jelly, sweet potatoes, barley and pearls.
The place itself.
I'll have to give credit to the people at Snowflake. Their way of serving : " We don't bring you your dessert, you get it yourself when the UFO tells you it's ready. " Kapish? The red contraption you see in the picture is the Beeping UFO. Lol. It actually lights up and vibrates when your order's ready. And you know what?It looks like what Stitch would have :) I love it!
Au Revoir amie :)

Sunday

Yesterday.

My mum's here with me in Subang:) She arrived late in the afternoon just yesterday. Yas and Da left early in the morning when the sky was still dark. Yes...That early. Haha I find it amusing just how it is whenever it comes to going home, we're all so excited. I guess Dorothy was right when she said theres no place like home huh?Have fun back in Kuching you guys:) Right...My grandma packed lunch and dinner just for me too and had my mum bring it all the way to Subang. She's such a dear :) I Love her:) And the food she cooks!A bittersweet meal indeed. Oui oui...The melancholy of missing home again. Georgie's heading back to Kuching for good. Am gonna miss her lots. After all that chaos and LOL moments I hate to say goodbye but I'm happy for her. Her roomies and mates in the apartment are like........Zombies. Wait wait...to say that their zombies would be an understatement. Zombies walk around and they actually make Sounds.Plus she's been here for ages. And now she's served her life sentece. Alas!Liberty!Couldn't wait to go shopping with my mum. Went to Sunway first and much to my disappointment the pair of gladiator heels and the bag I wanted from Charles and Keith was OTS- Out of Stock. I HATE that phrase. I wish I were a size 7 or 8. Instead of being a conventional size 5. Most of everyone here is a 4 or 5. That's why the shoes I want are always out of stock. Grow feet!Grow!However....I finally got the waist belt I wanted from Dorothy Perkins.Yay:)
Took a cab down to Midvalley after Sunway. Headed first to MNG and got myself a basic spaghetti top.I need one to go with my formal top for class presentation this coming week. The nerves are starting to kick in. I'll ignore them for the time being and conitnue blogging. I'll never miss a chance to go Zara. Never. The feng shui of Zara at Midvalley is somehow different from the rest of the Zara outlets around. Yas and I, we agree on that. We can never leave empty handed. Spent like an hour and a half there trying on this and that. Left with 3 tops. Initially wanted to get the one above but I don't really know what to pair it with other than leggings. Plus it's white. A friendly reminder I have to do my own laundry now. I hate washing anything that's a shade of white. And the water here at my place will just ruin the top. I don't want to have to go through the tedious process of bleaching it with Clorox. Gah. But I love the top...Maybe....Just maybe....The next time I go....I might...Just might get it....Maybe ;)
Vainity kicked in. Haha. Applied film effect and a tad bit of bloom to the picture. Film effect's my favourite:)
My camera got drunk. And this was what happened. Excuse me. I couldn't help myself and thus the extremely lame statement:)

I've never tried this effect before! It's called newsprint:) I like it! After Zara, went to Topshop and after endlessly trying on pairs and pairs of jeans I finally found the right fit. Topshop's MOTO Baxter Skinny is a dream. I love it's rich dark shade of denim. I'm a jean-atic. That means I love wearing jeans. Its the quintessential piece of everyone's closet. I don't favor Levis as much as before now. I don't know why. My most expensive piece from Levis was 299. My dad was like...." ARE THEY MADE OUT OF GOLD??" when he got the credit card bill. But they lasted me for 2 years. Before my waist betrayed me and grew. Another denim screwover was a pair I got from Roxy last year. It was 189. I don't know how but when I got it and brought it home it kinda transformed into this ghastly shade during the full moon that very night. Damn it. I never noticed how ugly it was in the changing room. My waist once again denied my newly bought jeans of it's fit and I never noticed how tight they actually were. After all that denimadness. I resorted to jeans only from MNG. Their much more affordable compared to Levis and Guess. I love their Bianca. On top of that their comfortable too:) FYI most shops would offer tappering services for jeans. Just ask. They'd usually do it FOC. Or at most they'll charge you a maximum of RM10. MNG charges RM10. It used to be free tho. But maybe scissors got more expensive I don't know about the rest of the shops but yeah for shorties like me it's a frequent ordeal that I have to tackle with. The fact that most jeans are too long for my legs.Oh I signed up for a topshop discount card too after I made my purchase. The guy at the counter explained to me that I would be entitled to discounts from sister chains of Topshop such as Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins and when he said "Miss Selfridge" He pronounced it as this - "Miss Selfish" I couldn't stop myself from grinning. He must be thinking to himself in his own english " Wow this girls is happily to got her card from Tokshot" Ok lah. I won't be so mean. He was very helpful tho. The crew at Topshop in mv are a great bunch:) Thumbs up to that:) Went back to the apartment ( I would never call it home) after a bit of grocery shopping at Carrefour. They were families stocking up on groceries as if there would soon be a flood.. My mum and I had to wait ages for our turn. Saw this tho, a little Iranian kid being tied on this knapsack leash thingy. Dreadful sight. His mum had to walk him as if he were a pet. Shouldn't it be like a severe voilation to a child's rights?Even if it weren't, I percieve the whole idea of it inhumane. Your kid is not your pet puppy ok?It doesnt look or sound like your chihuahua because it isn't. Using the excuse that your child is hard to control or that he or she would most likely run away and get lost is pathetic...well that's YOUR responsibility as a parent to make sure that your child understands how to properly behave themselves when their not at home WITHOUT the aid of any equipment. You will never be able to properly discipline your child instead why not parents just explain to their children and help them understand what they should and shouldn't do. Children must know the consequences of misbehaving or when they do something wrong and only through that its when they'll LEARN. Take for example when the little's boys parents have to attend a formal function and their left with no other option but to bring their son along and let's just say because the babysitter isn't available that night. Don't tell me they'll put him on the leash as well and walk him in his little tuxedo is it?No right? And now without the leash your child would think it's ok to run around and do whatever he wants because mummy and daddy didn't put him on a leash so his free. He'll be even harder to control. So...What do you think?

Am exhausted now. Will update again soon. Till than.
Nights :)

Resolutions.

Da went over to her friend's place at Klang for a sleepover on Thursday night and she brought back this!Bak Kut Teh from Klang!Haha one of my resolutions for the year while I'm here in KL is to try the infamous bak kut teh from Klang. Klang boasts of having the best bak kut teh around. I wasn't disappointed tho:) Porky goodness. That's half a resolution down. I want to try it steaming hot when I'm really in Klang :)

Thursday

Little Joys :)

Ring Pop!Lol could find these back in Sarawak Plaza last time...But now...I can't find 'em anymore. My favourite flavour is Cola :)
This is how it looks like:) Cute right?
My FAVOURITE drink in the whole wide world! Absolutely! :) :) :) The Ribena mobile is LOVE!

I love Love LOVE this!!!!Joynesssss!Haha they each come with surprises too :) :) :)
Couldn't find any back in Kuching tho :x RM3.50 for one. It's cheaper at Guardian at only RM3.48 Lol. 2 cents doesn't make a lot of difference huh?

Wednesday

A Belated Chap Goh Mei

A feast fit for college students :)Haha roasted chicken was from Carrefour and so were the rest of the ingredients. Had to walk there with Georgina and Da that morning. We were at Carrefour for ages. I initially wanted to buy myself a pet goldfish. But...due to circumstances and objections and the fact that My Place has more cats than Kuching (Yes, I know. Ironic isn't it?), I didn't. It really doesn't matter how bad or simple the food is. You could be having sirlions or even maggi but as long as your dining with people you love it truly makes a difference:) Can I get an 'AY!' ??
It's one of the best meals I've ever had:)
Cheers to the memories :)
Can anyone tell me what this is?It goes superbly well with porridge tho:)
Nameless creation. But it was delish :)
Lil green rosettes:)
Our chef :) - Georgina Raneeeeeee
I remember vividly it was Chap Goh Mei, me Yas and Da were all stuck at My Place Apartment while our families were all back in Kuching having Chap Goh Mei dinner:x Home cooked food is a luxury for us. So we came up with this idea for our own Chap Goh Mei dinner :) Plus Asia Cafe is sickening. The cookbook gave us our inspiration:)

Sunday

Holidays.

Flew home on the 23rd of May:) Was ecstatic about it. Finally the semester exams were over and I get to go home! Home sweet home! After all these years of gradual negligence I've taken Kuching for granted. I HEART Kuching:) :) :) Family, friends and Bie :) What more could I ask for?And this time I didn't have to go to shitty LCCT. Uh huh. Using MAS. Which is a relief considering all the times I've had to deal the chaos LCCT never seems to stop offering. OK lar. i don't really mind tho. As long as I get to go back lo. Air Asia also has it's pros it ain't that kns la. I'm just happy to be home:) Sighs. But now the holidays are sadly over. And I have no choice but to bid farewell to home again and return back to the hellhole which is Subang. I miss everyone. Everything. The flight back to KL was nothing but a heavy farrago of sadness. Yes. It was that deep. Reality bites. College just started today and already I was screwed by all the test papers I got back. Why oh why....Oh well. I'll just have to take it all in. It's going to be rather hazey here in Subang now. Will blog again soon. Till then.

Courtesy of MAS. They just look so photographable. Yes. Went for a french manicure at a spur of the moment the day before my flight home. Shelled out 40 ringgit for it. They weren't even using OPI.
Headed over to Spring with Bie. Ended up at Kenny Rogers. Had their quater meal. Muffins and all :)
My second all time favourite pig out snack - Hello Panda... My first love- Pocky sticks :)
A lunch trip to Mr Ho's with Bie. I wanted their chocolate fondue but they were out of strawberries :x
My sole purchase when I was back in Kuching for two weeks. I don't know when I can ever finish using this. My born lippy isn't finishing anytime soon too. I got a new long last glosswear from Clinique and I haven't started using it yet:x
Me and the birthday girl :) Ignore the zits please and thank you.

Celebrated my mum's birthday at Banquet:) :) :) I know!!! More chinese fooood!Hahaha! There was a wedding that very night as well. I nearly choked on my chinese tea when I heard the sound system play Howie Day's bad day in the midst of the wedding. Wtf. How is that song even relevant with matrimony?Dudts. I say it's an omen for the newlyweds. Lol. Ok ok. Kidding. I love weddings :)
Dim sum with family at this new place at Jalan Song. It was so packed that morning. I'm a super conventional cheena. I love all food chinese. Haha. Suck it italian and western. I'll choose chinese anytime.

Dinner at Mitsu Shabu Shabu with Bie. Steam everywhere. I recommend their fair lady noodles:) And thier fried potstickers. I'm a huge fan of those.Headed over to Sushi King again after.Lol. Have been to Spring like more than 5 times in two weeks. I know it doesn't sound like a lot but it is okayyy. Especially when everything stays the same. Roxy. MNG. Charles & Keith. Roxy. MNG. Charles & Keith. Booo to Esprit. I'll blog about my recent animosity towards Esprit...Soon. Oh ya...Had so much ice blended this and that throughout these two weeks. Like 3 ice blended green teas from Starbucks and other ambigous cups of other ice blendeds. Lol. Went to Taman Sahabat twice for the sake of fresh air which KL lacks oh so much and saw a huge group of adults doing the Jai Ho dance. Haha. They were damn sporting. I say thumbs up to them :)
Went to Momoyama with Sharon,Mel,Lav,Wooi,Cliffy and what's left of the gang. Lol. Most of everyone's away, mostly in the Home of Kangaroos and Hugh Jackman. Food was a tad bit pricey tho but I had F.U.N :) Had kimchi fried rice because it was the only food on the item I could really recognise and have tried. Haha. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food. I went to Rakutei with bie the night before I left Kuching. Japanese again. Predictably pricey as well. I'm broke $$$$ Had soba and green tea :) Headed over to Causeway Bay after Rakutei because I was craving for onion rings. Sod it. The onion rings weren't as nice as before.I should stop being such a pig. And did I mention I'm broke??
